Cherhill Horse, Wiltshire, England, 1985. This chalk equine was cut in 1780 by Dr. Christopher Alsop as a “decoration for the landscape” and measures 131 feet tall by 123 feet in length. On the bluff just above the horse is the Iron Age hill fort of Oldbury Castle.
