Chamaizi, 2007. A Minoan country house, built for a family or clan, lies on the summit of a steep windswept hill. The oval shape of the house is unique for the Minoan period. A deep circular cistern at the center collected rainwater, and strong outer defensive walls added to the security of the site. The view looks southeast.
